SOFÍA DURRIEU RESIDENCY AT FAARA CASA NEPTUNA

We are delighted to announce that Sofía Durrieu (* 1980, Buenos Aires, lives and work in Basel) has been selected to participate in the FAARA Residency 2025 at Fundación Ama Amoedo, hosted at the Casa Neptuna in José Ignacio, Uruguay. This residency offers a distinctive opportunity for Sofía to further develop her artistic practice in an inspiring environment, fostering research and production.

Sofía is among six artists chosen for this year’s edition, following a selection process by jury members : Carla Acevedo-Yates, Chus Martínez, and Eugenio Viola. The residency will provide her with valuable time and space for research and production, further advancing her practice within the vibrant context of contemporary art in South America.

The selected artists are : Tanya Aguiñiga (United States/Mexico), Ernesto Bautista (El Salvador), Sofía Durrieu (Argentina), Voluspa Jarpa (Chile), Guzmán Paz (Uruguay), and Adán Vallecillo (Honduras).
