HIFLOW, CHEMIN DU CHAMP-DES-FILLES 36A, 1228 PLAN-LES-OUATES, GENEVA
We are delighted to announce the group show Leaving the Island, featuring the work of Esther Mathis (*1985 Winterthur, Switzerland) and Ralph Bürgin (*1980 Basel, lives and works in Basel) curated by Marie Maertens, opening in Geneva. The exhibition explores water as a powerful metaphor for departure, exile, and the full range of human emotions. While water represents dreams, longing, and the allure of escape, it also reveals its destructive side, reflecting the tragic reality of forced crossings and the memory of shipwrecks.
