Roman Selim Khereddine originally wanted to make the dog hype in Morocco the subject of his artistic thesis at the ZHdK. But the pandemic thwarted his travel plans. Instead, a first approximation was created during the lockdown: two video essays from footage collected online, in which it already became apparent that the medium, video, would become the core of his practice. In 2022, he finally roamed Casablanca’s dog market himself, located in the neighbourhood where his father was born.
