“(…)The bird here is more of a vehicle. A metaphor for aspects of the self. They never really exist as one thing across all the paintings, sculptures or drawings. They don’t even retain the same meaning in the same painting months apart. The bird feels fluid to me, the image becomes a mirror for the viewer in a way. They are there to reflect an experience or thought and allow a spacer for viewer to construct their own relationships.(…)”
